I Know He Looks At Me

A good friend of mine's dad is a registered sex offender and no one in the family knows that I know. I'm not really weirded out by it too much. You'd never guess that he was...they're such a good, happy family and love Jesus like none other. I know he looks at me though...he's even told his son how cute I looked on several occasions...but I really don't care about his past. It might bug me when he's my kid's grandpa though.

I would be a little wary of him though. I don't mean to freak you out, but if he did it once, he can do it again. Hopefully he's learned his lesson and all of that is in his past, but you can never be sure. Don't let yourself ever be alone with him.

you need to be careful of this guy, im guessing that he may be a paedaphile, if im wrong then i am so very sorry to the both of you, but from what you said about being a grandpa, thats what im assuming you meant. paedophiles are dangerous because the desire for what they want lays way deeper than just normal lust, its an actual illness, and they are i would say at times unable to control themselves.protect your child at all costs. if hes not and is a sex offender of adults then you still need to be very careful dont let yourself be caught alone with him and try to avoid being around him.its great that they love jesus, but that dosent necassarily make them good people. good luck

Yeah, you have every right to be weirded out. I agree with previous persons post about not being alone with him and I personally would be telling his son to tell him that you really dont appreciate the comments as they are innqappropriate for him (or a normal adult in his position) to be making and I would like to think his son doesnt appreciate it either as it would be weird if he did. the most important thing however is not to ever leave a child alone in his presence as it is a sickness which he may not be able to control if he wants to - like an alcoholic but evil! I wiouldnt be introducing kids to him at all and letting the family know that you will call the police if you ever find he hasd had contact with kids and thay will have to understand as he has brought that on himself. You would have a right to make that rule and noone could argue it so dont let the family buly you into it
