Men; when your wives/girlfriends announce they are going to start a strict weight-loss regime, do not believe for a MOMENT they "do it for themselves". They are doing it because they feel you are losing interest and looking at younger, slimmer, fitter females (while you probably have a beer belly. Pig.). Considering all the effort and fatigue they put into it, I find it only fair that you should 1. show some INTEREST in her when she's finally toned and beautiful, 2. pay for her treatments. Not joking. And remember, the young secretary you are probably screwing now will get fat too one day.

Actually I did put on a few pounds after the ring went on, mainly due to extensive business travel. I've taken that off and stay fit, within one pant size from around 12 years ago. Meanwhile that freshman 20 has turned into 40 and she wasn't a stick to begin with. She works out with 2.5 and 5.0 lbs weights, eliptical, walking - but can't say no to bread, butter, cheese, etc??? In otherwords - self control baby. I'll give in to temptation and enjoy a candy bar once in a blue moon but I won't gorge on a mini-tub of Hagen Daaz and think it's okay cause there's one for each of us. No - it get's old being encouraging. If you REALLY want to lose weight it can be done by hard work and self control. Not a cheesy easy work out and 'nutritious' diet. By the way I honestly HATE 90% of the dinners she prepares or buys but eat them to be encouraging. I'm fit so it's time for her to catch up, in the meantime the little office flirtations remain just that - for now - another way for ladies to encourage their men is to put out and be a girlfriend in the bedroom - not some stiff missionary, BORING wife.

I am an overweight female and you are simply ignorant. Just because you feel this way and you do things like lose weight for someone doesn't mean that women of the rest of the world share your views. I am in a relationship and I am a nurse and I am working on losing weight for MY health and for MY happiness. If the person I am with doesn't treat me right I'd leave, not grasp at things and turn my life upside down for them. If you don't do it for yourself you will never suceed. And no... not everyone ends up fat.
