Well I'm very glad to hear that you havent been affected by what happened to you. I was molested a few times when i was younger and I was under the impression that everything was okay with me. During the past few years I realize that it did change who i was, but it had become such a integrated part of me that i thought it was just my personality. I think that it will change you, perhaps in very suttle ways, but if you can avoid the affects completely thank your lucky stars.
Much love.

i was molested when i was 3
but it didnt do anything to me
i masturbate
have sex
and am not afraid of human contact
sometimes i think i am screwed up
but then i remember that there are people who cant look others in the eyes
and i am glad i am not like that
i was lucky
it didnt ruin my life
and i told my parents about it when i was 14 and i didnt even need to take the guy to court
i just told them and the doctor that it truly didnt bother me
the doctor then told me that it was rare but normal
your are lucky
just keep telling yourself that

Maybe you just focus on what is WORTH living for. Keep being "Okay." because when you stop..it's not any better than the rape.

Being victimized at one time in your life, or even more than one, does not mean you should let yourself be a victim forever. There is nothing wrong with being okay after a rape. Trust me, more rape victims wish they could feel okay, than have to deal with the self-hatred and anger rape sometimes brings. I think being okay means you know it wasn't your fault, and that the person who did it was just a screwed up human being, and not someone worth dwelling on and hating for the rest of your life.

i was molested when i was younger a couple times and it didnt effectme, sometimes ppl have an easier time letting it go because we can move on faster and not let it drag us down

I've been raped twice, and after the inital shock and pain, I didnt notice any changes other than quitting my job once (the guy who raped me orked there). I think its because we've accepted that we cant change it so why let it change us? It is very weird though. I feel like my life should have been altered. Or something. But everything was fine.
