i hook up with a friend whenever we are drunk. he thinks that we just do it because its fun but i really and truly like him and i know he will never like me back.

you should tell him how you feel. if hes really your friend he'll be understanding. if you feel uncomfortable with doing that, i would suggest you stop hooking up with him while your drunk. you should focus on getting a guy that will really care for you the way you deserve to be cared about.

He might just be trying to keep it no strings attached because he thinks that's what you want. Try hooking up when you're not drunk, and in sobriety you might see more there than you originally thought. Try talking to him. Just like "Have you ever thought that maybe we could be more?". But if he really and for truly is only interested in hooking up when you're drunk then you should probably stop. It's only going to be more damaging if you keep doing it but you really want to be more with him.

me too, drunk or not. it makes me feel good when im with him but leaving always hurts a little. a quote that ive gained strength from is: "sometimes it is better to forget how you feel, and just remember what you deserve." you deserve to be happy with someone who you can make happy in return.
