best friend = depression

I love my best friend to death. She means the world to me. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. But all I ever hear about from her is about her boyfriend and how she never sees him and then when she does see him how wonderful it was. I love to hear her happy, but it really depresses me when she talks about him constantly. She knows I have major boyfriend issues and haven't had a good one ever. I want to tell her, but she is so easily hurt, I'm afraid it would affect our friendship. Like today, I woke up in a good mood and then she talked to him on the phone for three hours and I'm all depressed tonight. [I spent the night there.] Plus, it's like she's ignoring me. Maybe I can just balance best friends and boyfriends, but it really bugs me. And I hate how she depresses me. I don't know what to do about it.

as a best friend, try to understand where she's coming from. she's in the whole high lovey dovey mode with her boyfriend, and i don't think she's purposely trying to hurt you. you can let her know how you feel in a gentle manner.
