coming out

QuickCode : gay/lesbian

I'm a lesbian.i work in a professional and image obsessed industry. I'm comfortable with the person i am but i used to be suicidal and didn't understand why i had to be this way. i used to feel like I'd rather die then be ostracized and hated for who i loved.i want to come out, but my sister and her partner are homophobic and consider homosexuality an abomination.I don't want people to try and change me for who i am when i tell them.I'm a good person,my sexuality doesn't define who i am just how i am.

The generation we live in so far more accepting of homosexual relationships. Seriously coming out is the least of your worries. You will always have people against you, and the ones that "love" you, your family, they will learn to deal with it. IT has take my family six years, and they are finally more accepting that I ever thought possible. Just do it and move on.

Comming out really isn't as bad as it seems. In general, you think it will go horribly then it turns out people really don't care. And if they don't love you after you tell them, they never really did and your life will be much better without them.

You have to be yourself, otherwise you will never ever be truly happy. F___ them if they can't accept it, you're more important

Come out. Your family [and industry] will have to accept it. After all, you are still the same person you have been, right? Let them know that you have something to tell them that they can never change. If they don't accept you, you don't need them. You are perfect the way you are.
