confusion

i think im probably gay but i have no idea how to deal with it. its adding to the general confusing state of mind i seem to be in, in that i cantt answer the question "who am i?"

It doesn't matter what your sexuality is. Be with whom-so-ever you find attractive and who is attracted to you, if thats men-- so be it. If thats women so-be-it. We make sexuality out to be such a big part of life but its really next to nothing. Do what makes you happy and let the rest be water under the bridge.

It sounds like you cannot answer that question because you are not quite ready to face your sexuality - which is only a tiny part of who you are.

Write out your thoughts,journal your confusions, and read over them...you will find clues about yourself there. Pretend you are talking to a deeply trusted friend! Later, seek out some friends whom you deeply trust. Don't talk about this to someone who will be a typical jerk. I'm not gay, but I have a lot of musician friends of mine who are, and I watched them go through absolute hell, until they found someone they could trust. Good luck to you!

I came out when I was 18, because I was too ashamed to do it in highschool. I never wanted to be known as the gay girl.

I'm 21 years old.. and in the past three years I have learned a lot.

And which gender I prefer to be with, is of little concern to anyone in my life.. that is actually worth keeping around.

Don't be ashamed of your sexuality. Embrace it. It's hardly a bad thing.

so i think you should talk to someone who knows what it's like and get opinions from other people in your situation on how to deal with it , also you should tell people because once you get it off your chest you will be able to deal with it easier

The hardest part of coming out is accepting it yourself. You don't have to put yourself in a box. Do what feels comfortable and natural. All my life i knew i was a lesbian, but i had a hard time accepting it.
Once I finally was okay with it, it was easier for me to just be myself. ps: Talking to someone you trust helps!

doesnt matter if your gay or not... being gay or not doesnt define 'who am i?' you are you ... nothing more too it.. being gay is just a very small part of you.. and is an easy thing these days... dont be scared..... if you not sure of your sexuality.. than so be it.. there is no timelimit or label to agree to in these things... just enjoy whatever u enjoy....

I think I'm going through the same thing and I've finally walked out of the other side to realize that I just need to love whoever truly loves me and whoever truly gives me satisfaction. I think I'm finally ok with the idea that could be someone the same sex as me.

Don't commit to being gay just yet if you are not 100% sure - you can never go back. Deal with the little things in life - work, school, money, friends - the bigger things will fall into place when they are ready to

I used to think i was gay too, and at one point i was thoroughly convinced i would never find a man that would make me happy and would only be happy being gay and being with a woman. I ALSO never really found men attractive so i thought that meant i HAD to be gay. BUT! It turns out i am straight and am married to one of the the three men worldwide that i find attractive. The good thing about thinking i was only attracted to women was that i didnt become a slut and sleep around with all kinds of men before my husband. Regardless... worry about sex later.. say, after youve found someone to spend your life with.

chances are you're not gay then. Just go on and do other stuff you enjoy, like reading or playing games or whatever. Just don't think about it for a while, and maybe the answer will come to you later. besides, being gay really sucks, 'cause then you're gay and people hate you. :)
