confussed love

I have a girlfriend whom i have been with for 3 years and who i love with all my heart, i would never want to cause her pain or loose her. But, i have a crush on someone else a very strong crush... and the worst thing... it's a guy i have never felt this way about a guy before and it worrying as its my friend but i get jealous of him and i sometimes feel he hitting on me. It hurts to feel the way i do and i don't know how to deal with liking a close friend of the same sex especially when i am in love with someone of the opposite sex. Why is love so confussing!?!
