I've never been able to find someone that I love that loves me back. Now I'm in love with a man that's 20 years older than me. I've tried to stop but I still love him. I haven't done anything yet, but I've promised to when I turn eighteen, and sometimes I'm really scared

At least you are waiting till your 18... keep waiting. Maybe you will figure this out.
And don't be worried about not finding someone to love you back yet, your not even 18, you've still got a lot of life left....

i hate to be judgmental when i don't know either of you, but i must say, this seems like a very unhealthy situation for both of you. age is NOT just a number when one party is a minor and the other is in his thirties. i know you feel like you're in love, but if this man had your best interests at heart, he would not even consider starting a relationship with you because you're so much younger.
i know that is not what you wanted to hear, but i'm concerned for your mental well-being and your safety. you need to talk to someone about this right away.

If age is the only thing holding you apart, it doesn't matter in the least (at least after the under-18 illegal thing). If you make each other happy, something like age should be the last thing to ruin that.

I was in love with my algebra teacher in high school, and I got him to take me out to lunch and give me rides home. He even gave me his number. He was 40. I was 18.
