Honey, it's not your job to tell you mom anything about your dad. What you can do is tell your dad that you know and that you expect (and deserve) stability in your life. Tell him that he has put you in a terrible position and that HE must fix it, because he is the parent.
Your mother won't leave you. Only rarely do mothers leave children. Your compassion and empathy show, so you must be a pretty good kid. That takes godo parents ... good luck sweetheart.

don't feel guilty, chances are your mom knows and is not doing anything for your sake, thats what my mom did for the last 3 years I was in high school. The day after I left for college she packed her stuff into a van and left him. SHE LEFT HIM, NOT ME. I ask her years later if she knew and she said, "I knew every monute of every day." My dad married the woman, who 3 months later left him for someone else.

hi dont leave.
it's pretty shocking that your dad actually has an affair.
does your dad know that you know?
sometimes honesty helps, and maybe if you tell her that you dont want her to leave, then i guess she'll stay or maybe take you along with her.
though this may not be the best advice, i hope it helps a lil.

I'm so sorry. I think that I may have experienced something like that. Sometimes parents can be irrational, and "shoot the messenger." When finding out about an affair, they sometimes feel foolish, and when their child approaches them with knowledge that they couldn't find... It may seem logical to them to completely leave the whole thing behind, or to lump you in on your father's "side." I hope that whatever you choose to do works out for you.
