Drug Addiction

I am 20 years old. Cute, blonde, tan, skinny, motivated, successful, loving, humorous, and well-mannered.

I am the poster child people use as someone who has made all the right choices and decisions in their life. The girl who came from a life of poverty, drug addiction, and abuse, and turned it into something positive.

I am addicted to alcohol, ecstasy, vicoden, percocet, oxycodone, and cocaine.


There is only 1 person in my life who knows. Everyone else is completely in the dark.


The real secret? Without my drug addiction, I wouldn't be the poster child. I would be a complete loser. It's the obligation of keeping my addiction a secret that motivates me to be successful.

You cannot be consindered successful while being addicted to anything, attiction indicates weakness, and honestly since when has that been a sought after trait? You need to get over being a "poster child" because all of that is in your head. If you want to succeed and be a role model shape up, because even if you continue as you are, thats no way to live.

You are not a poster child while on drugs. And this wont stay a secret for long. How many poster children do you see popping pills? That to me seems like a loser. I think if you came off them you could be the poster child you want to be but while on drugs you are just the loser you are terrifed of. And i believe you know that or you wouldnt have written this

More people probably know than you think. You should get help and not be ashamed to admit that you have a problem. People should/will probably respect you even more for overcoming such a big obstacle such as drug addiction. Despite considering yourself successful now, true success will come with sobriety...

I am the same exact way!!! Swear to God.
Nobody knows about me except a few people. I am highly successful, get straight a's in school, have a good job, pay my rent on time, pretty, fun, kind, talented artist, etc... on paper i am perfect.
But the sad part is that i can not function without drugs. The same ones as you, except no alcohol.
what are we gonna do?
I dont want to get sick and die.

I don't really know what I am going to do... I guess I just figure that eventually it has to stop... Some how, some way, it just has to stop.
I am sure that it will be beyond my control. Something significant will happen to change my life...Good, bad, just plain life altering...
Until then, the drugs are what get me through my day; I don't think it's in me to give that up.

If you can keep the drug use from ruining your life then it really isn't a problem. As soon as you start making bad choices because of your addiction then you need to find another outlet for your anxiety/energy. Try switching to less harmful drugs for regular use....smoking pot, for example, is much safer than cocaine. But realize that, sooner or later, your life will offer you some options that are more interesting, fruitful, and addicting than drugs (love, career, sex, adventure)...be sure that you aren't to high to notice them.

Been there done that. Rehab helped but, I think I'll always want to do it.

No one knows that Ive used over 10 times since leaving rehab.

PS. rehab ended May 25.
