this is about my amazing super fantastic boyfriend... hoever his habit of smoking marijuana when he's "bored" in the tiny town he just got an apartment in is absolutely killing me... he smokes more thn a bowl a day.. i really want to call the cops or something...

he says hes going to stop once i move up there and i know thats true... but if he was willing to stop when his parents asked him to... why the h___ can't he respect me that much?!?!

Why in the world would you call the cops on him if you love him? He's not hurting anyone except, arguably, himself.

Tell him you'll leave him if he doesn't quit. If you're worth it, he will. Siccing the cops on him will generally prove you're not worth it, BTW.

I say this as a former daily smoker who has quit for his wife.

My boyfriend was a real heavy pot smoker also. He said he would stop for me, but he never did. thats why I broke up with him.

first off, be glad he's being honest about it. Second, why would you call the cops? you make it sound like he's a criminal hurting others. If he is going to quit, then why are you trippin? You can't control the people you love, they will do what they want eventually anyway.

Not saying that what your boyfriend does is right, but I was once in his position. It took me too long to realize it and i lost my best friend because of it, mostly because he wasnt honest with me and never told me how felt about what i was doing, which hurt our realationship. So even though it seems like you've tried already, sit down and tell him exactly how you feel and hopefully he'll realize thats its not worth losing you over. Good luck and I hope things work out better for you than they did for me.

my boyfriend is a pot smoker too. and i drink so he tells me that nothings wrong we both have a bad habit. But smoking is definitly worse, and its illegal. I told him that i wanted him to quit... not for me but himself. Besides that fact that if he wants a future with me he's gonna have to grow up eventually

as long as the marijuana isn't affecting who he is and how he treats you, what does it matter?

don't call the cops. that's a relationship killer. talk to him about it. if you don't like his response, leave him. you're the one with a problem with him.
