horrible memories

when me and my sister were little,my parents would hit us...alot.they regret it now terribly and i forgive them.but it still hurts me alot, and i believe that it still effects me to this day.obviously it hurts my sister as well, since she remembers it better than i do.but unlike me,shes not very forgiving.in fact,she says that she HATES my mom, and that she always has.i love my sister to death and i dont want her to feel this way.please i need some advice!!

Maybe you should ask your sister to see a tharapist to get past the past. (no pun intended)

I'm sorry to hear that your parents hits you as kids. You should talk to your parents about your sister and yourself. Ask them to go to conseling with you and your sister. Also talk to your sister alone first before you talk to your parents if you both are now adults.Goodluck.
