I'm Messed Up

I lie so much about everythig that i have started to to belive that every lie actually happened. I'm stuck in this world of fake and im the only one that knows. My lie have made me what I am today. I'm deathly afraid of one person finding the truth and f______ me over.

I have a friend whom I really liked, but almost immediately after I got to know him better he started lying to me. It took me quite some time to find out he was lying. What he told me at first shocked me very much, he told me horrible things. And then his lies got more and more obvious, and now, whatever he tells me, I don't know whether to believe him or not. I would like to help him about his problems, because I'm sure he has some, but I don't know which ones actually exist. He doesn't know that I know he is lying, so whenever talking to him I have to pretend to believe him, which I hate and therefore try to avoid. If he told me now that all those things were lies and if he told me the truth about himself, I wouldn't be angry, I would be relieved and glad not to have to avoid him anymore, and be able to help him finally.

people are being too harsh about this. i know exactly how you feel. i know how hard it is. i get confused sometimes because i dont know for sure whats real or what is not. we should make a website for this. to help people like this

Lie all you want but know this: your subconscious will bust you. You WILL slip up. You WANT to get caught because you're tired of living this way. What you're doing is not working for you or fear wouldn't play ANY PART OF THE EQUATION. You can come clean now or wait for the roof to fall in on your head. Your choice. You'll have a harder time lying your way out of anything if you wait though.

I used to do the same exact thing, all you have to do is tell the truth to someone who you think knows the truth but will still stick with you afterwards. You may lose some friends but you'll feel so much better after you do.

i know what its like. im 18 and i've been willing myself to believe things for so long. sometimes i dont even know whats real. its almost like an addiction. its so hard to stop, and now i dont know where to start. my best advice is try and tell the truth. lying will only get you into trouble and lost the trust of people you love. i have been working on bringing myself undone for a while now and i am slowly doing it, everytime i tell a lie i make a mental not to myself and either fix it then and there or not say it again. you can do it it just takes time. the people who are worth your time and love you will accept you for who you are not the lies and they will stick by you. just tell them the truth.

I understand, I have the same problem, it's so strange to remember things that never happened, yet they've become part of you. After a while the all fade together and there's no telling whats real and what was a lie.
