I am so ashamed

My husband lost several of his front lower teeth in an auto accident. The accident was several years ago and he still has not had any work done on his teeth. I cant get him to get a bridge. I am ashamed when people see that he is missing teeth. I would never tell him that I feel this way but I am ashamed of myself for being so shallow.
