I know...and it kills me

My best friend told me her biggest secret...I'm the only one to know. She told me I can't tell anyone and it's killing me that I can't. Her parents need to know at least...She was sexually assaulted when she was younger...it kills me but she told me i can't ever bring it up again...

Just like people discussing suicide, 9-10 times they want someone to point out the good in their life and help them find the right reason to live. Your friend needs you to forget about the now and focus on the future. Get your friend the help she needs and let both her parents know what happened. Even if she runs kicking and screaming away from you, at least her parents will hold her and get her the physical, mental, legal help she needs.

no that advice is wrong. that's just making her not trust you again. she's come to you cus she trusts you. get her private help if anything, it's up to her if she tells her parents. i know it must feel wrong and stuff but it'll help. just, be there for her okay? okay.

bull crap - the girl needs help right now, who cared is she never trusts her again - that doesn't help her with the abuse, the parents need to know immediately before something much worse happens.

i would have to say tell the parents... but be warned she will most likely never trust you again but atleast you will know that you treid to help... one day she will look back on this and she will secretly thank you for telling. trust me
