I think I fancy a lecturer. Hes always nice and friendly to me. Which makes me think there could be something. But I doubt it. But he doesnt seem to be that way with anyone else, which I find odd.

If he's treating you differently, then there's a good chance he's interested. That being said, unless you're looking for a one night stand a lecturer may not be the best choice.
