I totally get what you mean. Just enjoy all the time you have with your cat... my dog was like my little brother I love him so much still.
It's hard to think about the future, but just be happy because your cat has a great life with a best friend who loves her so much.

I'm the same, my labrador bonnie, is my life. I don't know what i will do without her, i want her to live forever. She's only 7, but still, she's only got about 6-7 yrs left :( She's my first and only pet (after a couple of guinea pigs) and the best dog in the world. Dogs are so good, they give soo much and want so little...
