I STILL love him

I STILL love him. After all this time. We were never together we were "best friends" but I always loved him. I fell in love with him after our first conversation. I was in love with him for the three years that followed that first conversation. Then, as the world goes, we were torn apart. He made it through okay, I did not. I love him with everything that I am. Everything around me reminds me of him, I'm scared to hang on but I'm terrified of letting go. I cry every night because I miss him so much. Losing him broke my heart and now too much time has passed to do anything about it. I can't tell which would be worse to hear, "I hate you." or "I love you".
