I've been drinkin since i can remember.i need to stop,my wife doesnt like it.my kids are starting to see this as well.
Years ago i was one of the best in my field as an electrician.but now i look for reasons to go home early,stay home or get the wife to do all the shopping just to drink.i dont like this.its not me

my dad is an alcoholic. his father was, too. he said he never wanted to be like his father. if it gives you reason to stop, he told me once when i was younger that he would never beat me... well, that changed. he beats me now when he gets really drunk. because of him, i've tried to kill myself. i've been cutting myself for six years now and half of these scars are because of him. when i found his secret stash, that's when i lost it all.. i've been stealing from it and drinking ever since i found it. my mom has me drive my dad around because he's too drunk to drive, but she doesn't know that i'm drunk, as well. i'm falling into the genetic trap of alcoholism... and your kids could end up like my brother or me. it really hurts them, more than you might think.
get help. do this for your wife, your kids, and yourself. before it's too late.

you need to stop. my father did the same thing and it killed him when i was 10. he almost killed us once with the drinking, my brother stopped the house from burning down. I sat on his lap when i was very young and watched him have an alcohol induced seizure. you can't imagine how much pain and suffering your family will go through, i still think about it and cry until i'm sick or i just fall asleep from exhaustion. if you love them you won't be so selfish.
