Last summer, I helped with an intervention for one of my best friends. She was anorexic and really needed help, and she's doing fine now. She talks about it to me sometimes, what it was like to have an eating disorder and how she recovered. She has no idea that I have been bulimic for three years. No one knows. And when she talks to me about her four month bout of anorexia, I think to myself "You're pathetic. You should have never given up."
