lost in love

i think i am in love with my best friend, and he doesn't know it. i help him all the time with his girl problems. he treats me like i wanted to be treated and hes a great guy. i want to tell him but i don't think he thinks of me like that, and i don't want to ruin what we have. what should i do?

I was the same with my best friend. The best thing I ever did was tell him how I felt. We made a promise that our friendship would always come first. We dated for a year, broke up, found each other again, and now we've been married nearly 5 months! It might be hard, but if you're as close as best friends can be, it's probably worth the risk

hmm. thats a toughie, if u tell him, u lose your friendship possibly forever and u might not work out as a couple, but then if u dont tel him there's the thought of how many frogs will you kiss till u find your prince, especially if he might be sittiing next to you as he chats about some girl who wasn't worth it, I say tell,, cuz then whatever happened at least u went for what u wanted..Fate decided the conclusion, u just gave it a nudge

i am a guy. guys are dumb. youll have to beat him on the head with it. if he hasnt considered it, he will. if hes really your friend he still will be after. if he says no, it just means no right now. who knows maybe later. let it go, he may come back to you. especially if his heart gets mashed around a bit. as starsky so eloquently puts it: "Do it. i told my best friend that i had feelings for him even though i knew he didnt feel that way back, it hurt him telling me he didnt feel that way but i know he still loves me and we continue to be best friends. i felt so much better after letting it out so i could stop wondering

i'm having the same problem and I don't know what to do. He's always been there for me and its dificult. I haven't told anyone i like him because then it will be real. i just keep trying to forget about it but i can't. hes so easy to talk to and i tell him everything. but i used to like his friend and that didn't work out even though his friend liked my personality he didn't want to date me. so how do i know the same thing won't happen? i think you should just wait it out and see what happens. but i wouldn't hint because that might just scare him away...
