Love denied

Im in love with my best girlfriend. She has no idea and I don't think she see's me that way. One of our other friends confessed her love to the same girl and they are no longer friend because she was freaked out. My friend has dated girls before so it's not the lesbian thing. I can hardly be around her without thinking about kissing her. I will never say anything because I don't want to lose our friendship but every time I spend time with her it becomes more painful.
