mental?

I was in mental hospitals from age 12 to 17, on and off. I started my first period in one, and every subsequent hospitalization I had a period. The psychiatrists had me on anti-psychotics and I grew fat and couldn't think straight. I'm in my 30's now with kids of my own and I wonder why my parents were so stupid about PMS. Sometimes I hate them for stealing my life. I hate them.

Maybe their generation wasn't that knowledgeable or savvy about the symptoms as we are now. Now we know that it's an matter of endocrinology but before that people were very naive about ANY process ANY woman went through.

PMDD look it up. I have it too. You lost 5 years, don't lose your children's lives to hating your parents. You can never get that back but you can bring joy by letting your kids have the time growing up you never could.
