my friends gay

i have a friend who is cristian and is about 12 he has been praying to god asking him to help him beacause he dosent want to be gay. he knows that gay people wont go to heaven, and he loves god and respects him and goes to church and prays but god hasent done anything, he has prayed and prayed for about 3 years beacause he hates being gay and he wants to be straight. if there really was a god why hasent he helped him why hasent he done anything and also if god knew that he was going to b gay when he was inside his mothers whom he could of helped him by changeing him it hurts me c him cry and cry and cry beacuse he HATES!being gay ,supposedly nothing is impposible for god so if nothing is impposible for god then why wont he help my friend.
