Nephrotic Syndrome

I have nephrotic syndrome. Only about 5 of my friends know. I got it from a misdiagnosed case of strep throat that attacked my kidneys when I was one and a half. I had a kidney biopsy when I was 2, and I nearly died. I was in the hospital nonstop between the ages of 2 and 7. I will have this disease for the rest of my life; it could come back at any time. But I still fight, and right now, I am happy to say that I have been in remission for 7 years, and I am now a happy and healthy 14 year old. To all people with chronic illnesses: there is still hope. Pray to God to help you, look to those you love for support and love, and fight as hard as you can, because life IS worth it.
