I think I'm gay.
My parents will doubtlessly think it's their fault somehow, so I stay in the closet, even though by this point it's more like an iron maiden.

The only advice I can give you is to tell them. The longer you leave it, the harder it will hit them. I came out to my parents and they were shocked at first. But over time they respected me for telling them. The best thing about coming out of the closet is the tremendous relief of actually finally not having to hide what is a completely natural way of life for millions of people. Also, one of my parents has admitted that they have had gay sex in their past. I only got told after I came out.

Come out. They love you and that will sustain them during their times of questions. Your new emotional freedom will give you the strength to ride out the storm. Your family loves you and wants you to be happy. More importantly, you need you to be happy. Come out.

It is nobody's fault. I believe that if you feel that way, it's fine, and it's your buisness. But I think you should come out to your parents, because the longer you wait, the harder it will be.
