Online friend

My online friend is my only friend in the world and she doesn't realize how important she is to me. I feel like if I told her I would only embarass myself.

really try to get off this situation, I don't know why you don't have any friends, but do your best! If you're not the "cool" type, maybe just try searching a community of people with whom you share similar interests.

Hey, I met my boyfriend online. He lives 400 miles away, but we've met and see each other on a mostly regular basis..Talk to your friend..you never know. :)

I have a friendship like that. I feel like I'm the only one who cares about our friendship, and it is embarrassing. I wonder why that is. I wish she would care about me as much as I care about her. I refrain from saying anything, too.

You should tell her. I too have an online friend that means the world to me, but feel the same way. I will probably never tell him, but it would be nice to know if someone felt that way. He means more to me at the moment than any other friend I think I've ever had, but I suppose he'll never know.

I'm sorry. I understand how you feel. I'm so different from people in good ways, and stand on what I believe without wavering and for that people don't hang around me. My friends are my mom, and this guy that's like a father to me. I wish I could know you and be a friend to you.

I met my boyfriend online, and for some reason, I'm not that social. I PREFER to interact with friends online rather than go out with them (what's the point anyway? They're just friends, it's an intellectual connection. It's not like you need to see them for cuddling or something). Anyway, my advice is, don't tell her. Just appreciate her:)

hey there is NOTHING wrong with having online freinds... if you play an online game then most people callthese freinds "pixel freinds" but i have 3 freinds online and we have ben freind for the last 7 years back in the days of ultima online... everytime a new game comes out we each buy it and play it together.... i still have RL freinds an whatnot and i also have freinds form across the country... nothing wrog with it

Online friends can be very liberating for a number of reasons, #1 you can't really tell if the person on the other computer is 15 or 50, M or F, single, married, divorced, whatver. In otherwords they can be whatever THEY or YOU want them to be. #2 writing email, letters is much different than in person or even telephone relationships because writing allows us to filter our words and avoid unpleasant discussions. In otherwords, you and several posters have a tighter than average relationship with internet friends because it's easier to have insightful yet non-threatening relationships -vs- face-to-fact talks.

dont worry i came from a really strict house hold growing up..i wasnt every alowed to do anything...and i had an online friend that was really important to me.. I looked foward every day to talk to him. but as i joined more after school programs and stuff that def changed. U should def try to at least have 2 or 3 people u can count on. Bcuz if u dont when u go to college like i am in now it will bcum difficult to socialize. But its never to late to learn how to b social. i learned. if u need a friend i am always online..ok good luck wit everything.
