Painfully Gay

My secret is that I'm deep in the closet. I'm only 17, but I hurt so much, because I am living a lie. That sound so cliche, but it's bitterly true. I hope and pray to have a deep relationship with someone,anyone. But much more than that, I wish I had just one honest to goodness friend. just one. In such a crowded world, I don't know how I can feel so lonely. Being secretly queer, I don't "fit-in" with the popular crowd, nor any of the alternative groups either. The pain in my heart just won't go away. If I had JUST one person, the rest of the world wouldn't matter, but until then, I painful bear my tears alone.

Oh honey, my heart goes out to you. I was the same in high-school. I didn't fit in with anyone and so desperately wanted to. Just know this, as I've found from years after school. You aren't alone. It amazes me now to find out some of the people I went to school with were gay too...I had no clue at the time.
There is someone at school that wants to be reach out to as well, look for them, you'll know the signs. They act the way you do. Just do an act of random kindness to them to get the door open and you'll have a friend in no time.
