My dad is a pedophile. I found kiddie porn on his computer.

I wish my mom would leave him, but she's too busy making excuses for him, and trying to convince me how much he's changed, and still changing. She wants me to keep him a part of my daughter's life. No. F*** NO.

I don't want to see him ever again. My husband said he'll call the cops if my dad ever comes on our property again.

I should have called the cops already, but I can't bring myself to. I feel like it would be too much drama. I've already got enough.

This secret hurts so much.

You should feel perfectly alright about not letting him see your daughter... any caring parent would... however maybe you should seek help beyond confronting him... since your mom doesnt want to come to terms and obviously he needs help beyond what you or your mom could offer...

I'm the one who submitted this secret. My mom does know. She's the one making excuses. I still haven't called the cops. He's getting "help". He's still not around my daughter. After all this time, it still sucks.

You need to call. You have the power to stop what he could do and if you don't, part of that is on your hands, just as if you knew someone was likely to rob a store or murder someone. Think of the damage that could be done to the little child's life. Do the right thing; you are worth that.

Just about every police dept. has an anonymous hotline. Call and leave the information they need to investigate with the hotline. All you have to say that you suspect they're kiddie porn on his computer and they'll seize them all before he has a chance to delete and even then it's likely they'll find it as information over the net is almost impossible to truly get rid of. If not for your daughter, do it for all the other daughters out there he might get his hands on.
