Hah, I totally understand the potato thing!
There could be several problems with this situation involving your mom. Ask yourself if you were ever abused or anything. If it was consenting, there are no problems. It's a healthy, and maybe sexual relationship with someone you love.

Honestly, it depends on what happened in the shower. If it was sexual, or bothered you in any way, or felt wrong, thenI would go with my gut instinct and call it wrong. But if it was nothing, not sexual and simple innocent bonding, then I say you're fine. Don't worry about it.
And I may have to go try that potato peeler thing now...
