Someones out to get me

Whenever I'm at home during the evening or nighttime and I'm not doing anything with anyone else, I always imagine that a murderer is around the corner or behind the shower curtains or somewhere out of my sight. I even look up at the ceiling to make sure he isn't hiding up there. And when I pass the corner or open the curtain and see no one's there, I imagine what may have happened if someone was there, or I imagine he's hiding somewhere else. Or even worse, I imagine he's downstairs about to murder my family and I'll have to hide and be the only survivor. But I'm almost always calm, not terrified, when I imagine these things.
