QuickCode : they called me
My coaches called me fat. i no that coaches do it all the time. my ex-coach called me fat after i competed. i went to the bathroom and tried to stick my finger down my throat. It didnt work.
A new begining - I started with two new coaches. I tried my hardest. I stopped eating crap, ate breakfast and diner only cos my parents were there. Then they (coaches) called me fat, both of them. I no im not the perfect weight for my sport but i also no im not that fat. I hate it that im never good enough

what sport were you "too fat" for? the only thing stopping you from doing your best is not giving it 100%. your coaches shouldn't be making you feel bad, they should be helping you to get better at your sport. just keep your head up and push on. only listen to your coaches when they are helping you, and the rest of the time, focus on yourself. ;)

They have the problem, not you. Sounds like you have an inner strength of your own. That's all you need to take yourself anywhere you want to go. Keep your own style of self motivation. Your coaches obviousley need some coaching themselves :)

I'm guessing this sport is either gymnastics, ice skating or some form of dancing. No one will ever be "skinny enough" for those sports. The coaches push them too far and peopple have been seriously hurt! Don't believe your coaches, i know it hurts and it might not help to hear that they all say it. As i said, no one will ever be perfect for any of those sports and you shouldn't try to be either. Be happy with who you are and do your best because that's all anyone can ever ask of you. Don't cut out meals because in the long run that will only make it worse (look at starving children and their bellies due to malnourishment, i know thats extreme, but keep it in mind). If you cut down on meals you are only harming yourself. Eat healthy meals full of protein an vegetables. Im sure you will feel better about yourself once you realize your coaches are wrong! be strong and healthy
good luck!

complain to your parents and get them fired. And it good that you couldnt barf. It doesn't work in the long run anyway. And it great that you are eating breakfast and dinner. Just use the energy you have as get exhausted when doing those sports. That way you will get thinner for long term. But ya... Complain. If not for you. Then for other girls and guys who will be bashed. Good luck!!!

You are good enough. You are more than good enough. Often people do not recognize how the things they say impact the thoughts and feelings of others. Be healthy and be yourself. Do not put yourself at risk because someone called you fat, don't make yourself throw up, no one is worth doing that for. Tell your coaches they are out of line, and inappropriate, they do not dictate who you are. You are not fat, you are YOU. Be proud.

Listen maybe you should get out of your sport. The way my parents and I chose the sport for me was for my body type because we agreed if I was gonna be judged and spend time doing something I might as well be good at it. Its not healthy to be constantly put down and if your sport doesn't fit your body why waste your talent there?

Maybe you should get out of this sport. If you can't fit the model body type from doing normal things then you'll never be good at it and its kinda pointless. Either that or ignore your coaches and continue to be not so good at it. The coaches are just doing their job.

THat's terrible, they actually called you fat? Tell your parents and take them to the cleaners. I believe that might be illegal. Don't turn it into yourself, seek justice for yourself.

Your coaches' behavior is disgusting. If you're having a good time playing your sport, that's all that matters. Some of the girls on my old softball team were quite large, but they were still fantastic players and the team wouldn't have been half as much fun without them. You should report your coaches IMMEDIATELY- anyone saying things like that shouldn't have a job. It's not only inappropriate, but disrespectful- and I'm sure it's also very hurtful.

if they call you fat kindly ask them not to call you that... when they dont listen and say it again just go to your guidence counselor and tell them the coach is making you feel uncomfortable by saying sexually explicit things to you and being a little too touchy feely... teach that stupid pig a lesson:)

Tell your parents. I assume that since they're your coaches, and since they're not babying you, you're not paying them for olympic training, and they're likely just the jerks you ended up with from the luck of the draw. Tell your parents, and tell them that it's seriously affecting your life / perception of yourself / your future ability to be happy with yourself, and that you want the coaches to be told never to call someone out in such an insensitive manner again, and if possible you'd like to be put under different coaches for your sport. If there are no alternatives, and your parents aren't the sort who might be receptive and helpful, tell your coaches yourself that their name-calling is childish and unnecessary, and that if they think that you should be more muscular or more toned, they should take it upon themselves to motivate and assist you in getting to that point, not make you feel terrible. What neanderthals! Best of luck to you, and don't let your happiness depend on what anyone else says/does/thinks. That's long-term life advice that you can take to the bank.

I don't care if they are coaches- motivation through derogatory remarks is a sign of a weak character and weak mind. Call them a______- but tell them you're only doing it to motivate them to be 'kinder'.

Let me ask you one question: How much do these so called "coaches" weigh? Because if I were in your position, I would find every name in the book to call them. The only reason the coaches are telling you this is because they are self consious about their bodies. If I were you, I would make them even more self consious. Here is what you do: Make sure all of this is done in annominity. If the coach is a man, get his phone number out of the phone book. Make sure his wife or kids answer the phone. The in a very grown up voice, say "Hi, my name is Jan, with (such and such)Doctor's Office, and I need (Coach's name) to contact me as soon as possible for the Gohnorrea test we performed." Give them a phony number or even a real doctor's office number. They won't know the difference. If this coach is a woman, I suggest something along the lines of when she is eating lunch or is maybe drinking a soda, possibly suggest that since the teamates are not allowed to eat lunch, that maybe she should be having just a Slim Fast instead. Yeah, more risk of getting into trouble, but if you say it in front of the right teacher or even the principle, that s___ will come to a halt real quick! Hope this helps.
