I thought I loved you, I really did. But after we were together, you went into a depression. You hear voices in your head. You have to take pills to make you normal.
Is it so wrong to want someone who is happy because of me, and not because of pills?

If he/she is hearing voices his/her problem is much more serious than depression and you are neither the cause nor the cure

He can't help the fact that he hears voices. He would be much worse without the medications. As long as he's on medication, he would be a better boyfriend to you and the medications won't change the way he feels about you one way or another.

Coming from someone who takes pills, the pills don't make you happy. They just help you get to a place where you can not be stressed out or hearing voices... your emotions are truly yours. The pills aren't a part of the relationship.
If he/she is happy because of you, it's truly because of you.
