what did i do?

i love my boyfriend. i want to marry him and be his forever and i know he feels the same.

yesterday his dad told me that if i didn't start relating to him and acting more "human" he would tell my boyfriend to dump me.

i know my boyfriend would never do that but it still hurts. i have never done anything to cause his father to dislike me but still he tries everything to get rid of me and says it's because i'm shy. i may be shy but i'd rather be shy than think i'm better than everyone and think that i could control everyone's emotions.

i love my boyfriend and he loves me, that should be the only thing that matters. shouldn't it?

That is the only thing that should matter. My parents hate my boyfriend, they have a good reason now, but they didn't like him even before they had a reason. I really don't care what they think if they're not going to support me and trust my judgement though
